14th Annual Androscoggin Bank Run for Independence
About this race
Independence Association and Spindleworks is excited for its 13th annual Run for Independence, presented by Androscoggin Bank.
Join us at 10am on Saturday, May 10th in Brunswick at the Brunswick Rec Center at 220 Neptune Drive.
Proceeds from the Run for Independence support health and wellness programming for people with disabilities at Independence Association and Spindleworks. To learn more about our mission and how your support makes a difference, visit: www.independenceassociation.org.
Swag for participants includes:
- Free event T-Shirt - sign up by 4/11 to ensure a Run for Independence t-shirt
- Beer
- Snacks, baked goods
We'll start our 5k, 1 mile, and kids fun run on the morning of May 10th. The courses will take you through the flat and fast streets of Brunswick Landing

Details: • Register to run/walk on the Race registration site • Run/walk the distance of your choice where you want between 8:30 am and noon on Sat. May 16. • Email photos or videos of your run/walk to marketing@iaofmaine.org • We'll upload to FB so everyone can see you! • If you want, upload photos of your fitness device to document your time • We will load those times into a spreadsheet to offer First place overall Male and Female honors for each event. • Sometime during the week afterward, we’ll be inviting you to drive by 3 Industrial Parkway to pick up your swag, which will include the Commemorative Pandemic Edition race T shirt
