Event Summary: 5K Run and Half Mile Fun Run

Event Details:  The 21st Annual Bear Foot 5K and 1/2 Mile Fun Run will be held on March 14, 2026, 8:30 am at Sunshine Elementary School located at 231 Toney Road Bostic, NC 28018.   All proceeds benefit Sunshine Elementary School K-5 students.

This event will be held rain or shine!   No pets, please!

Shirt preference will be available to 5K Runners if registered by February 27, 2026.  After February 27, shirt preference availability is not guaranteed. The 1/2 Mile Fun Run is for children 5th grade and under. There is no charge for the 1/2 Mile Fun Run and it DOES NOT include a shirt.  Additional shirts will be available for sale while supplies last.

Age Divisions: Top 3 Male and Female in the following age groups will received a medal:
5 and under, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39,
40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95+

Overall Winners: Top 3 Male and Female in the 5k will received a trophy!

1/2 mile Fun Run for 5th grade and under:
(Fun Run is not timed but every child will receive a medal)

Packet Pickup:

Friday 3/13 - 3:00PM-6:00PM @ Sunshine Elementary
Race Day: Onsite from 7:00AM to 8:15AM

Race start time 8:30 AM

Join fellow runners on March 18, 2017 for the 21st Annual Bear Foot 5K and Half Mile Fun Run. It's a fantastic 5K featuring a flat and fast course in Bostic.
