27th Annual Allen Stone Braveheart Memorial Races - 7/25/26 - 31st Street Park
About the Event
In 1999, The Allen Stone Braveheart Memorial Races started as the Braveheart Run Swim Run, to benefit the American Heart Association. Allen Stone, a local Navy SEAL, and friend of the race committee, raced and won his age group. Tragically, Allen died in a SEAL training accident just a few months later. The race committee decided to rename the race in Allen's memory. Since then, the race has added a 5K and a kids 1 mile race to have something for everyone in the family.
This event has raised over $1 million for our charities, the Navy SEAL Foundation, Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad, and the Virginia Beach Lifesaving Association while honoring those that have made the ultimate sacrifice and their families.
Join fellow runners on July 25, 2026 for the 27th Annual Allen Stone Braveheart Memorial Races - 7/25/26 - 31st Street Park. It's a fantastic 7K, 5K, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Virginia Beach.

Allen Stone Run-Swim-Run
The Allen Stone Run Swim Run is a 1K beach run, 1K ocean swim, and 5K boardwalk run. There is a transition area between the swim and boardwalk run for you to change in to your running shoes. There are awards for overall winners and age group winners. All participants receive an race medal.
Running
Allen Stone 5K Run/Walk
The Allen Stone 5K Run-Walk is an out and back 5K on the boardwalk. This is a flat, fast and scenic course. There are overall and age groups awards for this event. All participants receive a race medal.
Allen Stone 1 Mile Kids Run/Walk
The Allen Stone Kids 1 Mile race is for kids 14 and under. It is an out and back race on the boardwalk. All participants get a medal. There are no awards for this event.
