29th Annual Merrimack Sparkler 5k Run/Walk
About this race
The 29th Annual Merrimack Sparkler 5K Run/Walk hosted by the Merrimack Road Runners Booster Club is held every year on the 4th of July with all profits benefiting the Merrimack High and Middle School Track and Cross Country programs. The Booster's Club is a volunteer organization that proudly supports all running programs in Merrimack, both at the Middle School and High School levels. The Merrimack Sparkler 5K is the largest fundraiser of the year. All money raised goes directly to the kids participating in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track and field. With the past support of our community the Booster's Club has been able to give money towards coaching stipends, clothing stipends, replacement of equipment and travel expenses. The Booster Club also gives out (5) $500 scholarships at the end of the year to graduating seniors. This years race will (like our races since 2021) will start and finish on the Merrimack High School track.
Registration Fee Schedule:
Sparkler 5K- On or before March 31, 2026 11:59 pm: Adults $30.00, Youth (13 & younger) $20.00
- April 1, 2026 thru July 2, 2026 11:59 pm: Adults $35.00, Youth (13 & younger) $25.00
- Beginning July 3rd: Late Registration $40 all participants
The Kids Fun Run is free (400 meters on the track) and starts at 7:40 am
Bib Pick Up
Early Bib Pick Up - 4pm to 6pm on Friday July 3rd at the VFW in Merrimack (282 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack, NH 03054).
Race Morning - You will be able to pick your bib up race morning as BUT we strongly advise you to pick up your bibs/shirts at early bib pick up.

First 150 5k registrants will receive a Sparkler 5k t-shirt

Top 2 Overall Male and Female,
Top 2 male and female in each age group;
Age Groups: 1-8, 9-11, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Virtual 5k Run/Walk
The virtual race can be run anywhere. The results can be submitted from 6/27/22 until 7/4/22. Through our timer (North Star Timing) and our race registration company (RunSignUp) we will have access to RaceJoy which is a free GPS virtual race tracking app. It allows entrants to run their 5k virtual race anywhere in the world and the results are automatically uploaded to our results page. You can also create virtual bibs and finishers certificates.
5k Run/Walk
The Kids Fun Run is free and starts at 7:40 am and the 5k begins at 8:00 am sharp. Entry Fees on or before June 12, 2022 adults $25.00, youth (13 & younger) $20.00; After June 12, 2021: Adults $30.00, youth (13 & younger) $25.00 until 6:00 P.M. July 2. Race Day Registration: $35 and $30 (youth). Please be advised the 5k course has been officially certified for this year's race!
