This 54-year-old tradition of Webster, NY was started by Jim May, former English Teacher, in Webster. Jim May started this event as a practice run for his Cross Country Team, as a way for them to get a workout on Thanksgiving Day. As the years progressed, the event grew to what it is today. Jim May’s former Cross Country Runner and then multi year winner of Trot, Dave Boutillier, took over the reins of the race in the late 90′s under his Race Directing Company, YellowJacket Racing. Each year this race reminds Dave and many other former Webster residents of their youth and running the event annually.
Strollers, Dogs, & Headphones are NOT permitted on course!! Please note: You must have a bib to participate. It is bad form and considered banditting if you do not have a bib. Please just don't do it. It puts the entire event, its insurances, permits and other athletes at risk.
Your (in person) Race Registration Includes
- Electronic RFID timing
- Your choice of a custom tote bag, hoodie (If registered before August 1st), crewneck sweatshirt (If registered before October 1st), or short sleeve t-shirt (If registered before November 1st), all registrants after November 1st will receive a custom tote bag, while supplies last
- Post-race food for all participants
- Complimentary Shuttle Bus Service
- Live Text and Email results as you finish (you must sign up for results notifications to track a runner)
- Finisher Medal to all finishers
- Digital Finisher Certificate
Your Virtual Race Registration Includes
- Your choice of hoodie (If registered before August 1st), crewneck sweatshirt (If registered before October 1st), or short sleeve t-shirt (If registered before November 1st), all registrants after that will receive a custom tote bag, while supplies last

- Shipping of the above items to your provided US BASED address only. Register by 11:59pm, Sunday, November 8th to get your packet BEFORE Thanksgiving! Otherwise it will be mailed the week of December 1st.

Virtual Event:
Please complete your 2.5 or 4.4 miles and submit your results between 7am November 26 and 11:59pm November 29th.
There is no day-of registration. Please plan accordingly.
By registering for this event you are acknowledging that the date, time, location, and distance of the race may be changed, switched to virtual, or canceled at any time as deemed necessary by the Race Directors due to circumstances beyond their control. In the event that any of these scenarios happens or any other reason, there will be no refunds, transfers, or deferrals allowed unless otherwise stated.
Join fellow runners on November 27, 2014 for the 55th Annual Webster Turkey Trot. It's a fantastic 6.6K, 4K featuring a flat and fast course in Webster.

Four-Four
This route is the exact route Jim formed 40 years ago. Due to long standing tradition it has not been changed nor altered. Please note, it may wind up a little less than 4.4 (more like 4.12) but due to its long standing tradition of being stated as 4.4 miles take it as you ran a really good 4.4 miler. The last 1/4 mile is on grassy trails in Webster Park.
Two-Five
This fun run starts at 10:10AM at the corner of Holt and Lake. The fun run finishes the same way the 4.4 miler does The fun run will be chip timed
