Calvert County's Health Department Presents The 9th Annual Shatter the Stigma 5K run/walk!
EVENT IS FREE. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR A TIMED BIB. (registration closes April 13,2026)
This event is sold out! No further registrations are available.
Participants will run/walk 5K (3.1 miles) the Chesapeake Beach Railroad boardwalk to bring awareness to help shatter the stigma against substance use and mental health disorders. In addition to the race, there will be a "Be Kind to your Mind" health fair at Kellam’s Field with giveaways, games, local resources, food, and fun!

Join fellow runners on April 26, 2025 for the 9th Annual Shatter the Stigma 5K. It's a fantastic 5K featuring a flat and fast course in Chesapeake Beach.

Come run/walk for a cause! Let us come together as a community to break the stigma against mental health and substance use disorders! There will be free t-shirts, giveaways, resources, food, and fun! T-shirts and meal tickets are guaranteed to the first 100 registrants. WE HIT THE FIRST 100 REGISTRANTS AS OF 1.12.2025. Remaining t-shirts & meal tickets will be first come , first serve.
