Annual MI Hot Dog Mile
About the Event
The Hot Dog Mile is an annual event celebrating hot dogs and regular dogs, dreamed up by the runners of Eastern Market Brewing Run Club. Participants eat four dogs and run four 1/4 mile laps- it's as simple as that! All proceeds after race costs are donated to a local Detroit Dog Rescue!
It's like a beer mile, but with hot dogs! 4 hot dogs, 4 quarter mile laps, hopefully no puking and some beers at the end. a great hang-out to support dogs, eat hot dogs, have some beers and enjoy a lovely Sunday at Eastern Market!
The race event runs from 10am - 2pm with a DJ, adoptable dogs, and great swag. Select your wave start time when registering.
New this year- Relay Style! Get a team of 4 together and tackle the HDM one lap at a time!
Join fellow runners on June 7, 2026 for the Annual MI Hot Dog Mile. It's a fantastic 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Detroit.

Hot Dog Mile- Individual Wave 1
Wave 1 individual runner registration, start at 10:30 am. Max 50 runners.
Hot Dog Mile- Individual Wave 2
Wave 2 individual runner registration, start at 11:15 am. Max 50 runners.
Hot Dog Mile- Individual Wave 3
Wave 3 individual runner registration, start at 12:00 pm. Max 50 runners.
Hot Dog Mile- Relay (Wave 4)
Hot Dog Relay team registration. Start at 12:45 pm. Each team is comprised of 4 runners, each eating 1 dog and running 1/4 mile. Max 30 teams. ***ONLY REGISTER ONCE PER TEAM- CAPTAIN REGISTERING WILL BE PROMPTED TO ENTER DETAILS FOR THE OTHER 3 RUNNERS**
