BTA Summer Junior Triathlon Camp

The camp is open to all juniors aged 8 and up (no upper age restriction).  The camp will be held at Clearwater Beach and run as a half day camp – from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm each day. The cost for this camp will be $300 for the full five half days.  If there are any participants who can’t make the full camp, it will be possible to participate in whatever days you can make at a charge of $60 per day, although to gain the most out of the camp it is preferable for participants to attend the full camp.

There are eligibility criteria for the camp which are set out below.

We are very fortunate this year to have secured again the services of Michael Harlow, the Founder and Head Coach of Endorphin Fitness, and Kim Frost, an experienced triathlon coach also from Endorphin Fitness. Brief information on Endorphin Fitness and bios for Michael and Kim are below.

Camp Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, each participant must:

• Be at least 8 years old (as of the first day of the camp) and completed P2 by the camp start date;
• Be able to swim 100 meters in open water without assistance and generally be comfortable in the water (additional assurance with regard to swimming ability may be requested at the discretion of the BTA);
• Have participated in at least one triathlon event;
• Be comfortable riding a bike without assistance (preferably a road bike but mountain bikes are acceptable)(the Bermuda Triathlon Association has a number of loaner road bicycles which can be borrowed for the duration of the camp – please let Rhiannon Bedford know if you are interested in borrowing a road bike for the camp)
• Have a can do attitude and be willing to have some fun
• The online registration form at www.racedayworld.com includes a waiver which has to be agreed to as part of the registration
