About this race
WELCOME TO THE FURNACE! The HOTTEST 5K on the Treasure Coast! This 3.1 mile run/walk starts and ends right in front of Fleet Feet Stuart and travels through the scenic and flat North River Shores neighborhood! It’s Florida! It’s Summer! It’s August! Time to have some fun and show the rest of the Treasure Coast that just because it’s HOT, we still love to RUN!

Packet Pick Up is at Fleet Feet Stuart
Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026 | 10am - 6pm
Friday, Aug. 7, 2026 | 10am - 6pm
Race day, Saturday, August 8, 2026 | 5:30 am - 6:25am.
We encourage everyone to pick up your race packet BEFORE race day. We do not require ID so you can pick up your friends and family race packets too. You just need to know their name.
This is a LEAVE NO TRACE RACE. Anyone found littering on the course or parking area will be disqualified. We recommend you bring a reusable water cup or bottle if possible. Thank you for helping keep our North River Shores neighborhood clean.

We want you to race with us. So, we added a reduced race fee if you don't want to receive a finisher medal and a race shirt.
We have options for Registration:
- If you register for 5K Full Price then you are guaranteed a race shirt and Finisher medal.
- If you register for 5K VIRTUAL then you will receive a race shirt and Finisher medal.
- If you want to race "Old School" at a discounted rate then you will receive a race bib only. Choose the in-person race option and when you arrive at the screen to select shirt size, you will see the option to select "OLD SCHOOL (NO shirt/NO medal)" to save $20

VIRTUAL RACE 5K Run/Walk VIRTUAL RACE
Join us in a Virtual Run if you are not able to join us on August 10th for The Furnace. You can still run/walk and receive a finishers medal and race hoodie! The fun part is that you have the month of August to complete your 3.1 miles. You can complete the 3.1 miles at your convenience - either in one outing or over several days. In order to receive your finisher medal you must send in a screenshot of your time and mileage completed. There are numerous running apps that can be used to track your virtual run - such as Fitbit, Garmin, Strava, Map My Run and others. Email the screenshot of your time and distance to run@fleetfeetstuart.com to receive credit. Upon receipt of your email then your finisher medal and race shirt (if you select to receive one) will be mailed to you.
