2026 ISDRA Annual Meeting and Banquet/Campout Weekend

NC Urban Mushing is happy to help celebrate the 2025-2026 Mushing Season this July in the mountains of VA and would love for you to join! You do NOT have to be an ISDRA member to attend. 

Date: July 18 (camping available Friday and Saturday nights) 

Location: Firefly Mountain Resort, Mouth of Wilson, VA https://www.instagram.com/fireflymountainresort

Meals: Saturday Dinner Provided 

Open to : Open to ISDRA and non-ISDRA members of the mushing community

Registration for the events: $30

Planned Schedule: 

• Friday Afternoon/evening: Arrival on site, hang out with friends, potential campfire if no burn ban (drought concerns). 
• Saturday morning/day: Group hike or run on local trails, plus time to enjoy the area on your own
• Saturday evening: Dinner, meeting, awards, lawn games/cornhole tournament/etc
• Sunday: Enjoy the scenery and load out

Lodging Options:

On-site

Dry camping (in a field) ($25/night) or 3 dry cabins with queen beds on site ($50/night)

with bathroom/shower house available 

Off-site rentals available through Rugby Creek; Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Independence VA ~30 minutes away etc

Local Activities:

• On-site trails, gravel roads, and a swimming pond (dogs should remain leashed)
• Nearby Appalachian Trail and Grayson Highlands State Park
• River floating with dog-friendly shuttle services available
