About the Event
Race Date & Time: May 2, 2026 – 7:30 PM (Kessel Run 5K & Ewok Trot)
May the 4th – Louisiana is a nonprofit festival merging Star Wars fandom with Cajun flair—all while benefiting local high school band programs, particularly H.L. Bourgeois High School Band. Now celebrating its 6th year, the event has evolved into an energetic day of fun and community support.
Kessel Run 5K & Ewok Trot
Light up the galaxy with our 2nd annual Kessel Run and Ewok Trot. This year the Kessel Run takes on the night in a glow infused race to save the galaxy. Race is open to participants of all ages and skill levels—costumes encouraged! Every registration helps provide grants and resources for Terrebonne Parish band students.
Registration after April 15th does not guarantee a Race T-shirt. Early bird registration begins December 1st until Feb 2nd for $30 dollars. Registration after Feb 2nd is $35, so do not miss that early bird pricing!
After the race, enjoy highlights like the Roux Wars cook-off, Wookie Calling Contest, costume competitions, live music, and local vendors. Join us to celebrate fandom, culture, and a good cause—may the force (and the flavor) be with you!
