Sandia Resort & Casino 2026 Run to Break the Silence
About the Event
The Sandia Resort & Casino Run to Break the Silence benefitting Presbyterian Ear Institute will take place on Sunday April 19, 2026 at Sandia Resort & Casino with a 5K and 10K Trail Run and a Kids Fun Run. The 5K and 10K will start and finish in the far east parking lot at Sandia Resort and Casino. The trail covers an all-terrain cross-country course in the challenging foothills of the Sandia Mountains. No pets are allowed. You may bring your infant/ toddler in a stroller to the community fair portion of the event, but you may not participate in the 5K or 10K with a stroller. Register by 4/12 to receive a short-sleeve 2026 RTBS Sport-Tech T-shirt. On-Site registration will begin at 8:00am. Warm-up will begin at 8:45am. Proceeds will support Presbyterian Ear Institute's School for Oral Deaf Education, where deaf and hard of hearing children, listen, learn and speak! We invite you to become a Silence Breaker joining us for a morning of fitness and fun!
Runner Packet Pick up will be held on Saturday 4/18/26 at New Mexico Look (6611 Menaul Blvd. NE) 10:30am - 3:00pm. Your packet will include your shirt- if registered by 4/12, bib and timing chip. If registering at Packet-Pick Up, please bring a debit or credit card, as registration is card only this year.

Ready to test your limits? The Sandia Resort & Casino 2026 Run to Break the Silence brings a highly anticipated 5K, 10K, 1K to Albuquerque on January 31, 2027. Expect a fantastic route right in the heart of New Mexico.

Run to Break the Silence Virtual Run: Stand With Us, Run Where You Are
"Run to Break the Silence Virtual Run: Stand With Us, Run Where You Are" allows participants to complete a 5K (3.1 miles) on their own schedule and in a location of their choice. Walk, jog, or run wherever you are during the event window. There is no set start time or course, and participants should plan their route accordingly. All participants registered by 4/3/2026 will be guaranteed a 2026 Run to Break the Silence Sport Tech T-shirt, which will be mailed. Thank you for standing with us and supporting PEI’s mission to help families choose listening and spoken language for their deaf or hard of hearing children.
Trail running
5K Trail Run/ Walk
The 5K Trial Run/ Jog/ Walk will take place at Sandia Resort & Casino. The 5K will begin at 9:15am. There is 1 hydration station on this course. All participants registered by 4/12/2026 will be guaranteed a 2026 RTBS Sport Tech T-shirt. We’re encouraged and excited that you are joining our Silence Breaker movement! 10K Trail Run
The 10K Trail Run will take place at Sandia Resort & Casino. The 10K will begin at 9:00am. There are 2 hydration stations on this course. All participants registered by 4/12/2026 will be guaranteed a 2026 RTBS Sport Tech T-shirt. We’re encouraged and excited that you are joining our Silence Breaker movement! Obstacle race
Kids Fun Run
The Kids Fun Run will feature an age appropriate obstacle course. For children ages 2-6, the run will begin at 10:30am. For children ages 7-12, the run will begin at 10:45am.
