About the Event
Registration Includes:

🏅 Additional prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in each age group (for running participants only).

Race management provided by MS Running Productions. Timing services for the 5K is provided by The Last Mile Racing.Join fellow runners on September 27, 2026 for the The 39th Bigelow Tea Community Challenge. It's a fantastic 5K, 3K, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Southport.

Running
5k Run
The 5k event is computer chip timed and awards for both male & female (and first non-binary) finishers are available for all age groups. You must complete the entire 3.11mile course either by running or walking to be eligible for age group prizes. Awards Age Brackets: - 9 and under - 10 to 13 - 14 to 18 - 19 to 29 - 30 to 39 - 40 to 49 - 50 to 59 - 60 to 69 - 70 to 79 - 80+
Kids' Fun Run
(For kids 10 and under) Includes a 100-yard scamper, 1-mile jog, or obstacle course held on the turf field at Wakeman's Club These activities are not timed.
Virtual Adult Run/Walk
Can't be with us the day of our event? Take us on your own run/walk! Your race t-shirt and goodie bag can be shipped to you. (Shipping fee's will be applied at check out)
Walking
3k Walk
The 3k event is not computer chip timed and there are no awards. It follows the same path as the 5k the first half mile, then separates South on Westway on its own route to the finish. All turns are well marked.
