Inaugural Aura Wild Card Run - June 6th

Event Description

Join AURA for the inaugural AURA Wild Card Run on Saturday, June 6, at 7:00 AM.

This will be a fun, low-key trail poker run on the Corkscrew route. We will start at the Electronic Tower and run the route counterclockwise, hitting four card stations along the way before returning to the finish. Friends and family welcome. Please sign up so we know how much food to bring. 

At each of the four stations, runners will pick up one playing card. When you return to the finish line, you’ll draw your fifth and final card. Everyone will then play their hand, and the best poker hand wins.

The winner will receive a custom chip medal.

This is not your typical race — it’s a fun AURA community run with trails, cards, aid stations, and a little luck.

How It Works
Runners will:

Start at the Electronic Tower.
Run the Corkscrew route counterclockwise.
Stop at four card stations along the route.
Draw one card at each station.
Return to the finish line and draw a fifth card.
Play their best poker hand.
Best hand wins.

Volunteers Needed
We need volunteers to help man the aid/card stations and hand out cards to runners.

This is a casual AURA trail event, not a traditional timed race. Come ready to run, hike, laugh, draw cards, and enjoy the trails with the AURA community.
