2.2 for 22q Walk/Run/Ride 2026
About the Event
Let's get walking or running or riding starting 6/6/26-6/14/26 to raise awareness and funds for 22q. This virtual event will kick-off on Saturday, June 6 in your community, on your treadmill, or wherever you exercise. Whether you sign up to run, walk, or bike, let's get moving and feel united throughout the week. Be sure to share your photos on social media and tag us @22qfamily and use the #run22for22q. We will also be offering an in-person event again in Erie, CO with the hopes of eventually expanding to more locations in the future.
22q is the SECOND MOST COMMON genetic disorder after Down Syndrome, yet it's less known and harder to diagnose. 22q has a rate of occurrence in 1 in 2,000 births and is found in 1 of 68 children born with a heart defect!
- 60-75% of all individuals with 22q have a heart defect,
- 75% have differences in their palate that affect their speech and often create nasal regurgitation,
- 35% have significant feeding and swallowing problems,
- 77% have immunodeficiency
- 40-60% have anxiety
- 50%+ have a cognitive impairment

Join fellow runners on June 6, 2026 for the 2.2 for 22q Walk/Run/Ride 2026. It's a fantastic 3.5K, 5.1K, Half-Marathon, Marathon, 16.1K, 32.2K, 5K featuring a flat and fast course in Anywhere.

5k for 22q Run/Walk/Ride (IN PERSON- ERIE, COLORADO)
Back this year: In Person option at Coal Creek Park in Erie, CO. Join us for a fun run/walk/ride followed by a BYOL (Bring Your Own Lunch) Drinks will be provided and a dessert food truck will be on site. Come prepared to get wet in the splash pad too! This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT! Strollers, and non-electric scooters are also allowed. Please no bikes for this year's race. This is a time-your-own race event, to allow for the majority of funds raised to go back to The 22q Family Foundation. 9:00-10:45am Check-In/T-Shirt and Bib Distribution 10:45 Opening Ceremonies 11:00 Run/Walk/Ride (5K to start, followed by 2.2) Picnic/Dessert Truck/Splash Pad to follow 5k Course Map Here: https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/6702946897
