Terms of Service

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with the laws that apply to you.

Race Discovery is a discovery and tracking platform. We help you find endurance events — including running, trail running, cycling, swimming, triathlon, and other races — and we let you save events, log activity, and track your progress.

We aggregate and display event information from organizers, public sources, and partners. We are not the organizer of the events listed, we do not sell race entries, and we do not control event pricing, scheduling, courses, cancellations, or refunds. When you choose to register, we typically link you to a third-party organizer or registration platform. See section 7.

The Service is provided free of charge unless we tell you otherwise. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

You can create an account with your name, email, and a password, or by signing in with Google. When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password and credentials confidential and not share your account.
• Be responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
• Notify us promptly at hello@racediscovery.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

If you sign in with Google, your use of that feature is also subject to Google’s terms. We are not responsible for the availability of third-party sign-in services.

You agree not to misuse the Service. Among other things, you must not:

• Break any law or infringe anyone’s rights, including intellectual property and privacy rights.
• Scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Service except as expressly permitted, or use bots to access it without our permission.
• Copy, resell, or commercially exploit our event listings or other content without authorization.
• Upload viruses or malicious code, or attempt to disrupt, overload, or impair the Service or its infrastructure.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or bypass security or authentication measures.
• Reverse engineer or attempt to access source code except where the law permits.
• Create accounts by automated means, impersonate others, or provide false information.
• Post or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or otherwise objectionable.

We may investigate and take appropriate action, including removing content or suspending accounts, for any violation.

“Your Content” means information you submit to the Service, such as saved races, logged activity and progress, profile details, and any messages or feedback you provide. You retain ownership of Your Content.

You grant Race Discovery a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display Your Content solely to operate, provide, and improve the Service. You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit Your Content and that it does not violate these Terms or anyone’s rights.

You are responsible for Your Content. We may remove content that we believe violates these Terms or the law, but we are not obligated to monitor it.

When you register for an event, you typically leave the Service and complete your registration on a third-party website. Those transactions are solely between you and the organizer or registration provider, under their own terms and privacy policies. Race Discovery is not a party to them and is not responsible for registrations, payments, fees, refunds, cancellations, postponements, results, prizes, or any dispute arising from an event.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites and resources. We do not endorse and are not responsible for third-party content, products, or services, and accessing them is at your own risk.

You are solely responsible for your own health, fitness, and safety. Consult a qualified physician before beginning or changing any exercise or training program, and before participating in any event. By using the Service and participating in any activity or event you find through it, you voluntarily assume all related risks. Any progress, distance, or activity data shown in the Service is for general informational purposes only and may be inaccurate; do not rely on it for medical or safety decisions.

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, logos, software, and the selection and arrangement of content, is owned by Race Discovery or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. The “Race Discovery” name and logo are our trademarks; you may not use them without our prior written permission.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Service, you agree we may use them without restriction or obligation to you, and you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to do so.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information. By using the Service, you acknowledge that we process information as described there.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Service or other users, or if we discontinue the Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive — including content licenses you granted, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute-resolution terms — will continue to apply.

THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT, INCLUDING EVENT LISTINGS, ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that event information is accurate, complete, or current, or that any event will take place as listed. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you, and you may have additional rights under local consumer law that these Terms do not limit.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RACE DISCOVERY AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR FOR PERSONAL INJURY ARISING FROM EVENTS OR ACTIVITIES YOU FIND THROUGH THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER THEORY.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, such as for fraud or, where applicable, death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Race Discovery and its owners, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, Your Content, your participation in any event, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence, the courts of British Columbia, Canada will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

• Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
• Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
• Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
• Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
• Relationship. These Terms do not create any partnership, agency, or employment relationship between you and us.
