Celebrate long summer days in Burlington, Vermont by running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours. This 4x4x48 format can be tackled individually, in a pair, or as a team of 3-4 athletes.

4x4x48 Solo
This event starts with a 4 mile run at 4pm on Friday, June 12th. It continues 4 hours later with another 4 mile run at 8pm... Then again at 12am on Saturday, and continuing with 4 miles every 4 hours for 12 total runs (48 hours, totaling 48 miles). The final run starts at 12pm on Sunday, June 14th. The SOLO option is for athletes doing this event individually. WOW, what a test of grit! There will be indoor space for athletes to set up sleeping surfaces (indoor camping) with access to bathrooms and showers.
4x4x48 Pair
The PAIR option is for athletes doing this with one other teammate. Each run must be completed in its entirety by a single teammate, but pairs can divvy up the running segments so they each run an equal number, or one runs more segments. If divided equally, each athlete will run 24 miles over 48 hours. There will be limited indoor space for athletes to set up sleeping surfaces (indoor camping) with access to bathrooms and showers.
4x4x48 Team
The TEAM option is for athletes doing this with one or two other teammates. Each run must be completed in its entirety by a single teammate, but teams can divvy up the running segments so they each run an equal number, or one runs more segments. If divided equally, each athlete will run 12 miles. There will be limited indoor space for athletes to set up sleeping surfaces (indoor camping) with access to bathrooms and showers.
