About this race
As we look ahead to the 5K@EASD Challenge kicking off in September 2026, we are excited to bring together a global community united by movement, connection, and a shared commitment to health and wellness.
Every step in the 5K@EASD Challenge helps raise diabetes awareness and inspires healthier futures for people around the world. Together we are running and walking for the more than 589 million adults living with diabetes.
For over two decades, the 5K@EASD Challenge has united EASD attendees and participants around the world to emphasize the need for increased physical activity to help prevent diabetes and diabetes complications.
This free disease awareness activity provides participants with the opportunity to raise public awareness about the importance of a healthy lifestyle in preventing and controlling diabetes.
