5K Wolf Run and Walk
About the Event
Join us for the annual 5K Wolf Run and Walk on Saturday, August 29th, 2026. This is an inclusive day of fun for the entire family! With races available for preschoolers, students of all ages, and adults–there truly is a race for everyone! All racers receive an event t-shirt and participation medal when you sign up by August 11th. Mascot Trot 5K finishers also receive official timekeeping.
This districtwide community event will feature a pop-up shop of Okemos-branded apparel, concessions, giveaways, and more! Even The Okemos WoofPack will be making a special appearance to run the doggy obstacle course! Admission into the stadium is free.

Kid Sprints at 9:45
Mile Run at 10:00
Mascot Trot, Special Event for Mascots Only, at 10:20
Proceeds from this year's Okemos Wolf Run and Walk 2026 will go towards mascot appearances, upkeep, and swag.
Awards for the Mascot 5k run/walk: $25 gift certificate to Overall Male and Female winner. $10 Playmakers gift certificate to the top finisher in Age Groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29. 30-39. 40-49. 50-59. 60-69. 70 and over.
THE MASCOT TROT
Get ready for a big reveal. This year’s Mascot Trot marks the debut of the brand-new Okemos Wolf! Come cheer on our fierce new mascot as they face off in a high-energy race for first place.

- Whoodini from Michigan Education Trust (MET)

Mascot Trot 5K
The Mascot Trot 5k starts in the Okemos High School Stadium! It will leave the stadium and be a mixture of closed roads, trails, and sidewalks. We are proud to be partnering with Playmakers and the Michigan Running Foundation to provide an excellent racing experience! This is an inclusive race and all are welcome! Choose to run or walk. * “Early Bird” registration fee $25 through June 30th. Regular registration fee $30 through August 11. Late registration available until August 28 for $35. Race day registration is $40. * A course that begins and ends at the Okemos High School Athletic Stadium. * Includes official timing provided by the Michigan Running Foundation * Includes guaranteed exclusive t-shirt when you register by 8/11. * Includes guaranteed “Wolf Run 2026” participation medal when you register by 8/11. * Anyone who registers for the "Mascot Trot" is invited to the stadium for viewing of shorter races and our Okemos Pep Rally entertainment.
