About this race

9-11 Holt Hero Run  -  25th Rememberance

Come join us in honoring the victims of the 9/11/2001 attacks by helping raise money for first responders and military veterans. This successful family fun event is organized by the Delhi Twp. Fire Dept., Ingham County Sheriff’s Office, and The American Legion Post 238 and supported by local businesses and YOU!

2026's beneficiary is split between:

  • 100 Club of Greater Lansing that provides immediate assistance to the families of police officers and firefighters who died in the line of duty within Ingham, Eaton and Clinton counties and long-term support to their surviving families. https://www.100clubofgreaterlansing.org/  
  • Camp Liberty that offers outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, and mental healing in beautiful Brooklyn, MI.  https://camplibertymichigan.org/  

Pricing: Pre-registration is $35 through September 1st (includes T-shirt), then $40 until the morning of the race (T-shirt available as supplies last).  On-site registration is $40 and additional shirts are $20, both CASH ONLY.

Course: Race starts at Delhi Fire Dept., south on Aurelius, thru subdivision and finish in Holt Plaza at the 9-11 Memorial.

EARLY PACKET / BIB / SHIRT PICKUP:  

          Thurs, 9/10 5pm-7pm: Delhi Fire Dept Office 2074 Aurelius Rd - we have our own entrance to the right of the library / main twp doors.

          Fri, 9/11 8am-2pm: Delhi Fire Dept Office 2074 Aurelius Rd - we have our own entrance to the right of the library / main twp doors.

          Fri, 9/11 3pm- race start: Delhi Memorial Gardens, to the rear of the big Township parking lot at 2074 Aurelius Rd   

Race starts at 6:00 pm.  5:30pm Remembrance Presentation by Fire Chief Brian Ball at the Delhi Fire Dept bay, 2074 Aurelius Rd. 

Awards: Award to overall and master winners. Gold, silver, and bronze medals to 3 fastest runners in age groups: 13 & under, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted live during the race and on this website.

Course: Memorial Gardens start, run through the new bays of Delhi Fire Dept., south on Aurelius, through the subdivision and finish in Holt Plaza at 9/11 Memorial. Enter through Sept 1st to be guaranteed a race T-shirt!
