All-Out Polar Prowl
About the Event
Join us for the 14th annual Polar Prowl at the Stenger Sports Complex in Arvada, CO! As the first Denver-area half marathon of the year, this event features 5K, 10K, and half marathon courses that meander along the Van Bibber Creek Trail, offering breathtaking views of Arvada's open spaces and Table Mountain. Because the courses are relatively flat, it is the perfect opportunity to chase a personal record or secure a qualifying time for the BOLDERBoulder. We are proud to support Penguins International with this event, and we invite you to join our penguin costume contest. The layout is incredibly spectator-friendly, featuring a viewing area just a short walk from the venue where fans can cheer on half marathoners three times and 5K or 10K athletes once before they hit the finish line.
Join fellow runners on January 9, 2027 for the All-Out Polar Prowl. It's a fantastic Half-Marathon, 10K, 5K featuring a flat and fast course in Arvada.

Half Marathon
Starting from the Stenger parking lot, half marathon athletes will head to the Van Bibber Creek Trail for a scenic double out-and-back, two-lap course. After making a right-hand turn to head west, you’ll run approximately 2.5 miles to reach the first turnaround before heading toward the east out-and-back; you'll then complete a second full lap of this route before sprinting toward the finish line. To keep you moving and feeling your best, the course features 10 fueling opportunities and 4 restrooms along the way!
10K
Starting from the Stenger parking lot, 10K athletes will head to the Van Bibber Creek Trail for a scenic double out-and-back course. After making a right-hand turn to head west, you’ll run approximately 2.5 miles to reach the first turnaround before heading toward the east out-and-back before sprinting toward the finish line. To keep you moving and feeling your best, the course features 5 fueling opportunities and 2 restrooms along the way!

Participate virtually! Get all of the SWAG, including a distance medal, shipped to you the week after the event, maintain eligibility for alumni brag tags, and get credit towards the Run Amok Championship!
