About this race
Join us on Saturday 9/12/2026 at the Waveland, MS Lighthouse for the 25th Anniversary 9.11-mile Remembrance Run, a powerful event honoring our heroes and supporting local first responder charities. This special run offers a challenging 9.11-mile course, a spirited Battle of the Badges competition between local Fire and /Police Departments, and a1-mile Family Fun Run for all ages. Come in your best Red, White, and Blue, lace up your shoes and be a part of this meaningful fundraiser that directly benefits the organizations dedicated to serving our community.

25th Anniversary 9.11-mile Remembrance Run - Waveland
Run 9.11 miles. ($55 per participant) This is not a timed event. All finishers receive a t-shirt and finisher medal. (You must be at least 13 years old to participate in this event)
Battle of the Badges
Battle of the Badges Challenge: ($99 per team) (Must be at least 18 years old to participate in this event) All finishers receive a t-shirt and finisher medal. An ultimate team endurance event! -3 person team: One member to be carried off the ground (think fireman's carry) for 9.11 miles. The team can stop and change out the person being carried throughout the event, however, one person must remain off the ground while the team is moving forward. No assistance from others outside the 3 person team and apparatus such as wheels, ropes, pullies etc. is not permitted. The mode/technique of the carry is at the imagination of the 3 person team. *Waiver agreement is for all 3 members of the team.
1-mile Family Fun Run
1 mile Family fun run/walk. ($10 per participant) Strollers and pets (on leash) are welcome. All finishers receive a finisher medal.
