Armourdale 5K Run and Walk

The Armourdale Renewal Association (ARA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the Armourdale neighborhood in Kansas City. Through youth programs, community development, and local initiatives, ARA works to create a more connected, supported, and vibrant community for residents and families.

The Armourdale Community Run and Walk is your chance to be part of that impact while showing up for a race that is anything but ordinary. Runners, walkers, families, and local businesses come together for a high-energy morning that supports the community and creates an unforgettable experience.

New for 2026, the race starts and finishes on the Rock Island Bridge. Run above the city, take in the skyline, and experience Kansas City in a way you will not find at any other race. This is more than a course. It is a moment.

Last year was just the beginning, and 2026 is all about going bigger. More runners. More energy. More impact. You will not want to miss being part of it.

Enjoy a fast, flat 5K run or walk through Armourdale. Race includes T-shirts and participation medals for all participants. Age group awards will be presented to top finishers in each age group.
