Kick 2020 to the curb and kick off the New Year with Badwater 267 VR! Join us for this 31-day, 267-mile epic running challenge to start 2021 in a Badwaterly fashion! This new challenge starts January 1 and you have the entire 31 days of January to complete your mission of running, walking, and/or hiking 267 miles.
Badwater 267 VR - Cycling Division (1068 miles is the goal, which is 4x267)
Due to demand, we have added a Cycling Division for Badwater 267 VR. For this event, cyclists will log one mile per four miles of cycling in January: 1068 Miles Cycling or 4 x 267 (1 mile running = 4 miles cycling) 31 days = average of 34.45 miles per day Average Pace of 20 MPH = 1.72 hours or 1:43 spent each day Average Pace of 14 MPH = 2.87 hours or 2:52 spent each day The map of the Badwater 267 VR race route is 267 miles long and the participants need to log their miles each day on the website. Then they see themselves moving along the map. With the above, cyclists would divide their mileage by 4, in order to move along the map consistently so that everyone hits 267 miles at the end. (The goal for cyclists is to ride 1068 miles.) More info at https://www.badwater.com/event/badwater267vr/#tab-options
Badwater 267 VR - Swimming Division (133.5 miles is the goal, which is 1/2 of 267)

Then they see themselves moving along the map. With the above, swimmers would credit themselves twice their swimming distance each day, in order to move along the map consistently so that everyone hits 267 miles at the end. Badwater 267 VR (Multi-Sport)
Kick 2020 to the curb and kick off the New Year with Badwater 267 VR! Join us for this 31-day, 267-mile epic running challenge to start 2021 in a Badwaterly fashion! This new challenge starts January 1 and you have the entire 31 days of January to complete the miles. Here's how the multi-sport division works: - For running, log one mile for every mile that you run/walk/hike. - For cycling, divide your cycling distance for each ride by four and log that number. (Example: You bike 12 miles, so log 3 miles.) - For swimming, log two miles for every mile you swim. (Example: You swim 1.5 miles, so log 3 miles.) You can do any combination of the sports, as many miles per workout as you want, as many workouts per day as you want. Just log everything here on RunSignUp accordingly.
