Bampa's House 5K Run/Walk
About this race
Bampa’s House has announced that they will be sponsoring the Ninth Annual 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Craig Park in Painted Post, NY. The purpose of the race is to raise money for Bampa’s House and celebrate the life of Jim Dugan, the namesake of Bampa’s House. Jim, who was called Bampa by his grandchildren, was a life-long resident of the Corning-Painted Post area, spending his career at Corning Community College, volunteering through the Lions Club, and facilitating beer tastings at The Site.
Participants are encouraged to run or walk the 3.1 mile course that includes the beautiful Painted Post Trail and winds through the streets of Painted Post where Jim lived. Alternatively, for those who cannot or choose not to participate in person, participants can join us virtually! Just send us your time and we will mail you your t-shirt for participating!
Become a fundraiser for Bampa’s House! You can collect donations through your own fundraising page just for participating. It’s easy to set up!
All proceeds from the race will go to Bampa’s House. Bampa’s House (Corning Comfort Care, Inc.) is a non-profit organization that serves the Steuben, Chemung, and Schuyler county areas and focuses on providing a safe and comfortable place for people to receive end-of-life care when home care is not an option.

Free T-shirts included to all 5K participants who sign up by Monday, August 26th. We will accept online registration until 12:00 noon on Wednesday, September 4th. We will GLADLY accept any registrations after 9/4/2019 on race day 9/7/2019 starting at 7:30 AM, same day registration will close at 8:50 AM on 9/8/2019.
Virtual 5K
A virtual race is a race that can be ran at any location. You can walk, use the treadmill, run outside or participate in another race. You can run your race at your pace wherever you like. If you cannot make it to the race on 9/7, please sign up for the virtual race and run anytime between 8/7/2019 & 10/7/2019. Send us your time & a picture of you on race day to (coryduganpulver@gmail.com) & we will send you your race t-shirt. Free T-shirts included to all Virtual 5K participants who sign up by Monday August 26th. We will accept online registration until 12:00 noon on Wednesday, September 4th.
