About this race
The 9th Annual Bay Bridge Paddle is a paddlesports showcase on the Chesapeake Bay. There are divisions for kayaks, SUPs, surfskis, prone, outrigger canoe and three courses for all skill levels: The Span (9M), The Steamer (3M), and The Soft Shell (1M). If you don't see your craft type, reach out to us an we can try to include it. After the race, kick back with your paddle people and enjoy the Maryland Seafood Festival with live music, great food, raffles benefitting the Foundation for Community Betterment, and awards ceremony. The Steamer is an intermediate, 3 mile course which will take the paddler under the Chesapeake Bay Bridge for a short distance before heading back to shore.

The Soft Shell SUP
The Soft Shell will be closer to shore in shallower waters; paddlers will launch from East Beach and head south toward the Bay Bridge turning around a buoy and heading back to finish at East Beach. This is a great race for beginners and intermediates that would like a little more experience.

The Soft Shell will be closer to shore in shallower waters; paddlers will launch from East Beach and head south toward the Bay Bridge turning around a buoy and heading back to finish at East Beach. This is a great race for beginners and intermediates that would like a little more experience.

The Soft Shell will be closer to shore in shallower waters; paddlers will launch from East Beach and head south toward the Bay Bridge turning around a buoy and heading back to finish at East Beach. This is a great race for beginners and intermediates that would like a little more experience.
Duathlon
Soft Shell SUP plus 1 mile beach run
The Soft Shell will be closer to shore in shallower waters; paddlers will launch from East Beach and head south toward the Bay Bridge turning around a buoy and heading back to finish at East Beach. This is a great race for beginners and intermediates that would like a little more experience. Once the paddle is complete, you will have the option to do the 1 mile beach run or pass the run off to a partner as in a relay.
Soft Shell Kayak plus 1 mile beach run
The Soft Shell will be closer to shore in shallower waters; paddlers will launch from East Beach and head south toward the Bay Bridge turning around a buoy and heading back to finish at East Beach. This is a great race for beginners and intermediates that would like a little more experience.
