Bayshore Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, & Kids Fun Run
About this race
Celebrating its 44th Anniversary, the Bayshore Marathon has become a “must run” for runners throughout the Midwest and beyond. Many runners return year after year to enjoy the scenic courses which run along the shores of beautiful Grand Traverse Bay. Hosted by Traverse City Track Club, Bayshore features a 10K, half marathon a full marathon, and a kids 1.2 mile fun run. The number of runners in all three races is limited to ensure a more enjoyable experience.
Traverse City Track Club uses proceeds from Bayshore to sponsor many running and health related activities in and around Northwest Michigan.
Join fellow runners on May 22, 2026 for the Bayshore Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, & Kids Fun Run. It's a fantastic 5K, Marathon, Half-Marathon, 10K, 1.9K featuring a flat and fast course in Traverse City.

The Traverse City Track Club is excited to host the 4th Bayshore Shakeout Run presented by Maxwell Medals & Awards on Friday, May 22 at 9:30 a.m., back at the Civic Center! Participation is free, but registration is required. Stick around after the run for snacks — available while supplies last!

The program is a kid’s only event for grades K-5th in elementary schools. Download the log and then join us for 1.2 miles on the day of the Bayshore!
