About this race
Welcome to the Bend Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k and 5k. With local ownership the 2026 events will be the best mountain town races anywhere. These are spectacularly scenic courses through West Bend emphasizing everything that makes Bend, Oregon great. You'll cruise around neighborhood parks, through ponderosa pine forests, along the mighty Deschutes River, and finish in a beautiful iconic Bend location to a hoppin' afterparty where the music is playing, delicious food is waiting, and you can relax because you just finished your best race ever! Join us for the 11th edition of the Bend Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k and 5k.

Bend Marathon Youth Running Program
Bend Marathon will be offering a FREE kids virtual race/running program for local youth. The Bend Marathon Youth Running Program in partnership with is all about running off some of that extra energy. This virtual program allows kids in Central Oregon to complete (either at one time or over a series of efforts) any of the Bend Marathon virtual race distances. After completing their 5K, 10K, half-marathon, or marathon, email us your distance you completed and you will receive the corresponding race medal. You can do this however you would like to and does not need to be completed all at one (but you can). You just have to get it done by May 31st and send us an email with how much you ran. You can keep track on your own or print and use the Mileage Tracking Sheet to keep track of laps and miles. The virtual kids program is free for all Central Oregon youth. For those able, a donation to support FAN (Family Access Network, providing crucial resources such as food, shelter, and clothing to children and families in need in Central Oregon) would be appreciated.
Bend Virtual Marathon
The beauty of the virtual event is that the Bend Marathon course can be anywhere you want it to be. You'll still receive the great swag all the participants receive and be able to run at your own schedule and where ever you want.
Bend Virtual Half Marathon
The beauty of the virtual event is that the Bend Half Marathon course can be anywhere you want it to be. You'll still receive the great swag all the participants receive and be able to run at your own schedule and where ever you want.
Bend Virtual 10k
The beauty of the virtual event is that the Bend 10k course can be anywhere you want it to be. You'll still receive the great swag all the participants receive and be able to run at your own schedule and where ever you want.
Bend Virtual 5k
The beauty of the virtual event is that the Bend 5k course can be anywhere you want it to be. You'll still receive the great swag all the participants receive and be able to run at your own schedule and where ever you want.
Bend Virtual 5k - 12 and under
Kids 12 and under on race day run for free with a registered adult and receive a medal at the end!
Bend Marathon
The course runs through West Bend neighborhoods, across through the Tetherow area and out the paved trail through the Deschutes National Forest (paralleling the Cascade Lakes Highway). It finishes with a fast straight shot all the way back into town to the Les Schwab Amphitheater.
Bend Half Marathon
The course runs through West Bend neighborhoods, across through the Tetherow area and out the paved trail through the Deschutes National Forest (paralleling the Cascade Lakes Highway). It finishes with a fast straight shot all the way back into town to the Les Schwab Amphitheater.
Bend 10k
The 10k course runs through the beautiful Old Mill District and several Bend parks before going up Colorado Ave to Reed Market Road then back down through the Old Mill one more time to finish at the Les Schwab Amphitheater.
Bend 5k
The 5k course runs through the beautiful Old Mill District and several Bend parks before finishing at the Les Schwab Amphitheater.
Bend 5k - 12 and under
The Kids 5k is a timed event run through the Old Mill run at the same time as the Bend Marathon 5k. Sign up online ahead of time to secure your 5k bib number. Cost: 12yrs and under – free; 13-18yrs – student discounted rate of $25 (use code "StudentRacer" at checkout)
Bend Kids Race
The kids race is a not-so-competitive kids race starting and finishing near the main events start. Just show up race morning at 10am to sign a waiver and get your customizable bib. Date: April 12, 2026 Time: The start will be at 11am Distance: About 1 mile Location: Old Mill West Parking Cost: Free
