Big Island International Marathon
About this race
This run goes along the old coast of the Big Island. The marathon is 2 out and backs starting at the Hilo Hawaiian and finishing back at the same hotel. PACKET PICKUP and the EXPO are the day before the race on March 13th 2027 from 9am to 5pm at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel. At the checkout you can purchase Event Insurance for live events
Join fellow runners on March 14, 2027 for the Big Island International Marathon. It's a fantastic Marathon, Half-Marathon, 10K, 5K, 3.2K featuring a flat and fast course in Hilo.

Marathon
This run is divided into 2 out and backs. The top half has an elevation gain of about 800 feet. The bottom half has an elevation gain of about 10 feet.
Half Marathon
This race is divided into 2 out and backs. The elevation on the first out is about 400 feet. The second out is about 10 feet
10K
This run is 2 out and backs. The first heads out to bayfront and back. The second goes out around Ice Pond and out to Onekahakaha and back
5K
This run is 2 out and backs. The first goes to bayfront and back. Then around Ice Pond to Orchid Manor and back.
2 Mile walk
The 2mile fun walk is not a timed event. It is a fun walk.from the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel down Banyan Drive past Reeds Bay Park. Then around the Ice Pond and down to the Half Marathon/ 5K/ 2Mile turn around sign In front of Orchid Manor, Then back the same way. Participants will get a goodie bag with a shirt and Bib.
