Lace Up and Blaze a Trail!
Join us for the Blazing Trails for Brain Injury 5K Run / 1-Mile Walk & Roll, hosted by the Brain Injury Association of Nebraska! Whether you're sprinting toward a PR or strolling with friends and family, this all-abilities, family-friendly event is your chance to break a sweat, make memories, and make a difference.

🕗 On-site registration opens at 8:00 a.m. ($50/person)
👕 Register by May 30 to guarantee your event t-shirt!
The 5K will be professionally timed by Peak Performance: The Running Store—perfect for those chasing their next race qualification. Not a runner? No problem! Our 1-Mile Walk/Roll is all about community, connection, and celebration. Expect plenty of water, snacks, and good vibes at every turn.
All proceeds support BIA-NE’s mission to build awareness and provide resources for Nebraskans impacted by brain injury. From peer support networks to life-changing resources, your participation helps us keep moving forward—together. Learn more about what we do at biane.org.

Blazing Trails for Brain Injury 5K Run
LOCATION START: Behind Natural Resources Center building. Look for signs for Run Check-in. COURSE ROUTE: 5K Distance: 3.1 Miles. This race follows a single track on perimeter trail North/Northeast around beautiful Wehrspann Lake. Course is paved path, mixed flat and hills, good for all skill levels. The path can be narrow therefore we would like to limit the 5K event to runners only. No strollers. AWARDS: Awards will be given to the First Male and Female Finisher, Second Place Male and Female Finisher, and Third Place Male and Female Finisher. T-SHIRTS: Standard sizes: Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large. XXL available for an additional $2 fee. NO REFUNDS. Registrations made after May 30 can note t-shirt size preference but are not guaranteed a t-shirt.

LOCATION START: South/Southwest of Natural Resources Center. Look for signs for Walk/Roll Check-in. This race follows a simple, relatively low-incline path from the Natural Resources Center to the entrance of the recreation area. T-SHIRTS: Standard sizes: Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large. XXL available for an additional $2 fee. NO REFUNDS. Registrations made after May 30 are not guaranteed a t-shirt.
