Welcome to the Brooks Midwest XC Championships Presented by Fleet Feet!
Witness the toughest high school runners put it all on the line for a shot at qualifying for the Brooks XC National Championships in San Diego. Four Brooks XC Regional Championships will be held across the country, and this is your opportunity to compete for a spot representing the Midwest Region. The top 10 boys and girls in the Championship Race will earn the chance to race for the title of toughest in the nation at Balboa Park.

Running
Championship Boys Race - Restricted to Grades 9-12
You must have run sub 16:20 to compete in the Championship Race. 3 Mile conversions (Illinois) or altitude adjustment (Colorado) will be considered. You must run in the championship races to qualify for nationals. The top ten boys qualify for the Brooks XC Nationals on December 13th in San Diego. Medals are awarded to the top 30 finishers.
Championship Girls Race - Restricted to Grades 9-12
HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS have the option of entering the championship girl’s race or the high school girl’s race. You may switch races meet weekend. However, if you do decide to switch races you must notify meet personnel at packet pickup. We suggest that you consistently run sub 21:30 to enter the Championship Race. You must run in the championship races to qualify for nationals. The top ten girls qualify for the Brooks XC Nationals on December 13th in San Diego. Medals are awarded to the top 30 finishers.
Junior and Senior Boys Race
JUNIOR/SENIOR BOYS that have not achieved the standard of sub 16:20 to run in the championship race must run in the JR/SR race. JR/SR boys that have run better than 16:20, are qualified to run in the CHAMPIONSHIP BOYS RACE. Medals are awarded to the top 30 finishers.
Freshman and Sophomore Boys Race
FRESHMAN/SOPHOMORE BOYS who have qualified for the championship race (sub 16:20) have the option of entering the championship race or the frosh/soph race. You may switch races meet weekend. However, if you do decide to switch races you must notify meet personnel at packet pickup. Medals are awarded to the top 30 finishers.
Junior and Senior Girls Race
HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS have the option of entering the championship girl’s race or the high school girl’s race. You may switch races meet weekend. However, if you do decide to switch races you must notify meet personnel at packet pickup. We suggest that you consistently run sub 21:30 to enter the Championship Race. Medals are awarded to the top 30 finishers.
Freshman and Sophomore Girls Race
HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS have the option of entering the championship girl’s race or the high school girl’s races (FR/SO, JR/SR - run together). You may switch races meet weekend. However, if you do decide to switch races you must notify meet personnel at packet pickup. We suggest that you consistently run sub 21:30 to enter the Championship Race. Medals are awarded to the top 30 finishers.
Coach Fed Youth Race
COACH FED YOUTH 3K CHAMPIONSHIPS: Runners in 8th grade and under can run in the Youth Championship 3K. Medals are awarded to the top 30 boy and top 30 girl finishers. Boys and girls team scoring is 5 runners (displacement). The 3K course is essentially the first 3k of the original 5K course. There will be team scoring for both boys & girls (team scoring is 5 runners displacement). Medals will be given to the scorers on the top 4 B&G teams).
Open Race
OPEN RACE: The Open Race is for runners not in high school. Medals will be awarded to the top 15 Men & the top 15 women.
