Brookville Canoefest
About this race
Once again the RACES must go on ... the tail water from the spill way is still shut down for maintenance on the Dam. Therefore, the races will be at the West Fork of the Whitewater River. Though the races might look different, they will still be just as much fun!
The RECREATION RACE will launch northwest of the town of Brookville at Eagle Beach and participants will proceed down the Whitewater River to Morgan's Canoe & Livery (3 miles).
The BIATHLON AND CHAMPIONSHIP RACES will launch from Morgan's Canoe & Livery and end at Cedar Grove.
All donations received will be distributed to local 501.c.3 charities in Franklin County!

Running
Biathlon Canoe & Run (Solo)
The biathlon is a race that combines an 8.4 mile Canoe Race and a 7.2 mile run. Racers start at the Brookville Tailwater Recreation Area. Racers will canoe the entire length of the east fork to where it joins the west fork and continue along the Whitewater until the end of the canoe segment at Morgan's Canoe Rental in Cedar Grove. After docking the canoes, the foot race begins. Leaving Morgan's the racers continue south on S.R. 1 to River Road. Traveling north along River Road, there will be drink stations along with some beautiful countryside. The finish line is located at Morgan’s Canoe Livery Brookville ending up to be 15.6 miles in total length. Transportation will be available after the race.
Biathlon Canoe & Run (Team of 2)

The Championship Canoe Race is 8.4 miles in length. The trip entails beautiful scenery on the entire length of the course with some Class 2 and Class 1 rapids. It starts at the tailwaters of Brookville Lake on the East Fork of the Whitewater River. The race runs the entire length of the East Fork where it then joins the West Fork. After joining the West Fork the race continues along the Whitewater until the finish line at Morgan’s Canoe Rental in Cedar Grove. A shuttle will be available after the race.
Championship Race (Team of 2)
Please sign up both members of your team at the same time. The Championship Canoe Race is 8.4 miles in length. The trip entails beautiful scenery on the entire length of the course with some Class 2 and Class 1 rapids. It starts at the tailwaters of Brookville Lake on the East Fork of the Whitewater River. The race runs the entire length of the East Fork where it then joins the West Fork. After joining the West Fork the race continues along the Whitewater until the finish line at Morgan’s Canoe Rental in Cedar Grove. A shuttle will be available after the race.
Recreational Canoe Race (Solo)
The Recreational Canoe Race starts at the tailwaters of Brookville Lake. The race runs the entire length of the East Fork where it then joins the West Fork. The race concludes right after entering the West Fork totaling 2 miles. Transportation will be available after race.
Recreational Canoe Race (Team of 2)
Please sign up both members of your team at the same time. The Recreational Canoe Race starts at the tailwaters of Brookville Lake. The race runs the entire length of the East Fork where it then joins the West Fork. The race concludes right after entering the West Fork totaling 2 miles. Transportation will be available after race.
