Youth Races! (5 - 15 years old)
As with past years, youth will be broken into age groups (5-7, 8-11, 12-15), and they will race around the road course surrounding the north end of Brownwood Park. Kids ages 5-11 will complete 1 (one) lap of the course. Kids ages 12-15 will complete 2 (two) laps of the course. This year, we will also include the expanded Tyke Cycling area for kids who are under the age of 5 and not riding bicycles yet! This year is all about our youth!
Adult Fun Race (16+ years old)
Adults and teens (ages 16+) will race 2 laps around the road course surrounding the north end of the park. All riding abilities and bike styles are welcome. Bonus points if you have a penny-farthing to ride :).
Tyke Cycling (under 5 years old)
***Returning for 2026*** This is not a timed race - it is an area/course that youth can participate in throughout the whole event. Volunteers will manage youth to ensure a safe amount of riders on the course throughout the event. Our youngest riders will have the full duration of the event to hone their cycling skills on a dedicated tyke cycling course. This area will include obstacles to navigate, fun and interactive elements, and will ensure youth can learn how to ride on balance bikes, bikes with training wheels, big wheels, and any other ride that suits their current level of comfort and cycling capability. If you have a youth who has mastered riding and is comfortable with the larger course, you may elect to enter them into the youth races for 5-7 year olds (knowing that they will be bombing at least one serious hill on Pendleton St. S.E.).
