Experience the James River as you've never seen it before as you run, ride, and paddle your way through this epic multi-sport adventure in beautiful Botetourt County. The Buchanan Tri is a great triathlon for beginners, but is also challenging for experienced triathletes. We're now in our 11th year! The race has grown and finishing times have gotten more competitive. Sign up and start your training!

Buchanan Tri Relay Team
3 members per relay team, each participates in a different race leg (run/bike/paddle)
Buchanan 2 person relay team (person doing 2 events register here, person doing 1 event, complete regular relay team registration)
This registration is for participants who wish to do 2 legs of the event while another team member does the third leg of the event. You may combine any portion (run & ride, run and paddle, ride and paddle). The person doing one leg of this event should register on the regular Buchanan Tri Relay Team registration.
Duathlon
Fun Run & Float
For the young or young at heart. Run through Buchanan Park, then float on the James River back to the start. Floats are provided for participants.
