About this race

The McAlester High School Football Team is hosting the Buffalo Stampede 5k on May 30th in downtown McAlester. The team is getting ready for the upcoming season, and runners crossing the finish line will help support the Buffs this fall! The race will take place in downtown McAlester, with registration at Spaceship Earth Coffee near 5th and Choctaw. Come join the stampede of runners on May 30th! 

Race Details 

- Spaceship Earth Coffee near 5th and Choctaw - See below for course map

- Start Times:  Fun Run at 8:00 / 5k at 8:30

- Preregistration price:  $20 for Fun Run / $30 for 5k

- Race Day Registration: $30 for Fun Run / $40 for 5k

- T-shirts: Must register by May 15th to get a guaranteed shirt in your size

- Awards: Trophies to the top 3 overall male and females.  Medals to the top 3 in every 5 year age groups up to 80 and over.   

Join fellow runners on May 30, 2026 for the Buffalo Stampede 5k. It's a fantastic 1.6K, 5K featuring a flat and fast course in Mcalester.
