Buzz, Sweat & Tears 5K

Join us for the 3rd Annual BUZZ, SWEAT & TEARS 5K supporting the Fort Mill High School Cross Country Team! This festive Halloween-themed fundraiser brings our community together in support of a team of 100+ athletes from Gold Hill Middle, Pleasant Knoll Middle, Banks Trail Middle and Fort Mill High Schools. The Buzz Sweat & Tears 5K is for participants of all ages and fitness levels; walkers are welcome, but please leave your furry friends at home. 

The FMXC program provides a positive training environment with a reputation for success in personal athletic growth as well as championship titles. Fundraising allows us to avoid imposing mandatory fees for participants, keeping the program accessible to all. And, it helps to cover costs associated with ensuring a safe, inclusive and positive experience (such as uniforms, travel fees, race registration fees, water coolers, and sun shelters).

DATE: Sunday October 25, 2026
START TIME: 1:00 AM (Check In 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM)
LOCATION: Bob Jones Stadium at Fort Mill High School  
DISTANCE: 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) / Kids' Fun Run (~0.5 mi)
COURSE: The course will be mostly paved, winding through the Fort Mill High School campus.

• We love our four legged friends, but please leave them home for the race.
• Strollers are only permitted for registered event walkers, not for runners. 
• Costumes encouraged! 

REGISTRATION:

Early Bird Registration: $30 (Until August 13)

Regular Registration: $35 (August 14 - September 30)

*Late Registration: $40 (October 1 - October 23)                   

*Race Day Registration: $45 (October 24)                                                                                                                                            

*Kids' Half-Mile Fun Run: FREE for kids 10 & under

*Couch Edition Virtual Participants: $25

*Commemorative t-shirts by size will be guaranteed to all those who register for the 5K walk/run by September 25th. T-shirt not included in couch edition virtual registration.

Top 3 overall male and female finishers
Top finishers in each age group (male and female: 11-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60+)
