About this race

Train to run the Capital City 5 Mile Race!

This program, led by Club Oly members, is a 15-week program designed for new runners, runners returning to running after a break, and those who have NO running experience. Whether you want to meet your goal of completing a five mile race or running your strongest five mile race, we will help you reach your goal. (Before starting any training program, please consult your physician.)

Using the run/walk method, we will start with 30 minutes of walking and jogging just 3 times a week. 

Join us Saturday, January 31 @ 9 am at Briggs YMCA for a kickoff meeting. 

Training will begin the following Monday February 2 at Marathon Park at 6 pm.

Training Schedule: During the program we will meet during the week on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00 pm at  Marathon Park and on Saturdays at Briggs YMCA at 8:30 am.

Registration fee is $65.00 which also includes a running shirt and full year Club Oly membership in addition to the 15 week training program.

The fee does NOT include entry to the race at Cap City Marathon.

The number of participants is limited so register soon!

Shirt guarantee date:  If you register after January 25, we can not guarantee that you will receive a shirt or that it will be your size.
