Cardio Kidz Fall Running Series
About this race
Cardio Kidz is BACK at Pine Park in Hoffman Estates for our 3rd Fall Running Series! Join us for a three (3) week running series for kids ages 2-14 of ALL ABILITIES. Each race takes place once a week on Sunday and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75-yard dashes, 1/4-mile, 1/2-mile and 1-mile run. Kids can register to run UP in distance for a greater challenge. An Alternate 1/4-mile race is available and a great option for kids new to running. Designed for 2nd-8th graders who may not quite be ready to run their suggested grade distance or who prefer a shorter distance! We hope they will give it a try and will encourage them every step of the way.
In addition to the physical benefits of running, the program aims to build social-emotional skills. The Cardio Kidz environment is great for the seasoned runner and also those who may never run before. We will focus on a word of affirmation in age-appropriate discussions before each race and will track weekly progress to promote goal setting and increase self-confidence. The emphasis of this series is on self-improvement vs. competition with others. We realize that accomplishments look different for everyone, and it is our goal for every participant to make big strides and have FUN while doing so!
Pricing: $35 registration fee includes: Three (3) Races and Racing Bibs, Cardio Kidz Swag, Goal Tracker Sheet, Weekly Progress Report and Finisher Medal.

It's a fantastic Preschool 2 Years Old - 50 Yard Dash, Preschool 3 Years Old - 50 Yard Dash, Preschool 4 Year Old - 75 Yard Dash, Preschool 5 Years Old - 75 Yard Dash, 6.4K, 1st Grade- 1/4 mile, 3.2K, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Hoffman Estates.

Preschool 2 Years Old - 50 Yard Dash
Children run in the same event ALL 3 Weeks. At this age the kids are just being introduced to running and the structure of a race. We will recognize them in the weekly results with a participation heart. A finisher medal is given out on the final race.
Preschool 3 Years Old - 50 Yard Dash

Preschool 4 Year Old - 75 Yard Dash
Children run in the same event ALL 3 Weeks; we will record finishing placement weekly to track individual progress; a finisher medal is given out on the final race. The distance is suggested. Children may run up, if they would like an additional challenge, but not down in distance.
Preschool 5 Years Old - 75 Yard Dash

Kindergarten- 1/4 Mile

1st Grade- 1/4 mile
