About the Event
California's State Off-Road Marathon Championship is also the oldest trail marathon in the state and takes place on beautiful Catalina Island located off the coast of Los Angeles and surrounded by blue ocean, green hills and more beauty than you have ever run through. Experience the Catalina Island Conservancy the way it was intended to be experienced, on foot, running, and noticing the history and beauty of the island. This is a bucket list event that you will want to run year, after year, after year.
Join fellow runners on March 13, 2027 for the Catalina Island Marathon, 10K, 5K. It's a fantastic Marathon, 10K, 5K, 1K featuring a flat and fast course in Avalon.

Catalina Island Marathon
Starting in the small town of Two Harbors on the far side of the island, you will traverse the island on dirt roads and trails heading back to Avalon. With a net elevation gain of over 4300 feet you will see spectacular vistas, ocean views and the occasional American Bison

Catalina Island 10K
Navigating the city streets of Avalon, run by historic homes, golf course and up to the Wrigley Memorial before finishing downtown near the water.
Catalina Island 5K
A hilly but fast 5K that will challenge you and reward you with views of Long Beach seldom seen off of Catalina Island
Kids Run
All kids are welcome to run our 1K, parents may escort their runner and the finish will be back downtown where the fun will be.
