Come Chill with the Chigger at the 30th Annual Chigger Chase!

Kick off the Christmas season with family and friends at Ardmore Regional Park’s most festive, unique running event! Race through the magical Festival of Lights at dusk and enjoy a fun evening filled with holiday spirit, community, and cheer.

Children’s Chigger Chase – ½ Mile Run

Kids 12 and under will start with Charlie the Chigger at the inflatable start line, run ¼ mile out, and return ¼ mile to the festive finish line.
Dress up in holiday attire or a fun costume!
A great way for young runners to feel like part of the big race!

5K Chigger Chase – Timed Race

Race under the sparkling Christmas lights on a paved out-and-back 5K course!
Are you fast enough to catch the Speedy Chigger?
Open to all ages – festive attire encouraged!

1-Mile Fun Run/Walk – Untimed

Looking for something shorter? Enjoy a scenic, untimed walk or jog through the lights. Bring the whole family!

Girls on the Run Celebratory 5K – Untimed

We're excited to welcome back Girls on the Run for the their Fall 2026 Celebratory 5K!
This special event highlights the achievements of the GOTR participants and their Running Buddies.
Open to Girls on the Run families and supporters.

Mascot Race

Don't miss out on the fan favorite Mascot Race – a thrilling dash featuring your favorite local mascots! It's quick, it's fun, and wildly entertaining. Be sure to arrive early to catch the action.

Support Your Local Park!

Proceeds from the Chigger Chase go directly to Ardmore Regional Park, funding projects like the refreshed main entrance, new pickleball courts and restrooms, and low-cost community programs. This year's funds will support programming, improvements, and splash pad planning – ensuring Ardmore Regional Park remains a vibrant space for everyone to enjoy! 

Event Schedule – Saturday, November 14th

Location: Regional Park Pavilion (near softball fields - short walk required)
Arrive early to park and enjoy pre-race fun!

  • 4:15 PM – Race Day Registration Closes
  • 4:45 PM – Children's Chigger Chase (1/2 Mile)
  • 5:00 PM – Mascot Race
  • 5:30 PM – Start of Chigger Chase 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run
  • 5:31 PM – Start of the Girls on the Run Celebratory 5K
T-Shirt Deadline

Packet Pickup – Friday, November 13th

Packets will be available on Friday, Nov. 13th from 3-6pm at The Clubhouse (2705 N Rockford Rd).
Race Day Packet Pickup will also be available from 3pm until registration closes at 4:15pm.

Join fellow runners on November 14, 2026 for the Chigger Chase. It's a fantastic 0.8K, 5K, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Ardmore.

Kids up to age 12 will run on the main race course! All children registered to run will start with the Chigger at the inflated start line, run out 1/4 mile, and run back a 1/4 mile through the finish line. Dress for the occasion in your festive attire or fun costume! Untimed event.
