About this race
The Citrus Heritage Run is a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and 1-mile kids race on Saturday, January 9, 2027. This unique and “sweet-smelling” course winds through the historic orange groves of the California Citrus State Historic Park in Riverside, CA. As one of the most scenic course routes in Southern California, you will experience breathtaking views of surrounding mountain ranges and skyline as you inhale the smell of sweet citrus and orange blossoms beginning to bloom. This race is truly one-of-a-kind and all race distances sold out in 2026!
This event is a great tune-up race for 2027.We offer high-quality tech-fabric long-sleeve tees, finisher medals and age group awards. Along the course, you will find entertainment (live bands) and several hydration stops. At the finish line, you will be greeted with music by a live band and post-race refreshments which include freshly squeezed orange juice from a local orange grove, as well as warm food, a celebratory beer and hand-crafted mimosas!

Half Marathon
The half marathon gives our runners the quintessential citrus experience. Featuring a mix of asphalt and dirt surfaces, this course is lined with palm trees and takes participants through citrus groves inside the California Citrus State Historic Park. It's one for the eyes, ears and nose, as the fresh scent of orange blossoms fills much of the course. Start time is 6:30am.
10K
The 10K incorporates the most scenic parts of the half marathon in less than half the distance. The race takes you through scenic streets before winding through the breathtaking beauty of California Citrus State Historic Park. Pass by some live bands in the park before crossing the finish line! Start time is 7:30am.
5K
The 5K is our most popular race and often sells out fast. It's a scenic course that weaves through gorgeous, wide streets and the California Citrus State Historic Park. It's a great choice for speed demons, families, and those looking to get their first race under their belt. Start time is 8:45am.
Kids Fun Run
With volunteers cheering on the kids all along the ~1-mile course, this fun run is not one to miss! Parents can accompany their kids and create beautiful memories. With freshly squeezed orange juice at the finish line, the race is sure to leave a memory for the whole family. Start time is 9:45am.
