City of Westlake 5K Remembering 9/11

Lace up your running shoes and join the community for the 3rd Annual Westlake 5K on September 12, 2026. Taking place at the scenic greenspace located at the corner of Persimmon Blvd and Ilex Way, this inspiring morning event kicks off promptly at 7:00 AM. Beyond the physical challenge, this year's race holds profound significance as we come together as a community to remember and honor those lost on 9/11.

​Every registered participant will receive an exceptional race package designed to make the morning memorable. This includes a personalized race bib equipped with an RFID timing chip for accurate results, an official event shirt, and a stunning finisher medal to commemorate your achievement. Additionally, competitive runners will have the chance to earn recognition, with special awards presented to the top three overall finishers as well as across various age groups.
