The Coastal Plains Relay is your chance to take on an exhilarating 75-mile running relay race, starting in Richmond, TX, and finishing on the stunning beach of Surfside, TX. Gather your run or ruck team for an unforgettable journey as you navigate scenic backroads, each person taking their turn to push towards the finish line. Running
Rucking
The Rucking Division challenges teams of up to 6 to conquer the 75-mile course while carrying a ruck. From Katy, TX, to Surfside Beach, each team member takes turns shouldering weight along scenic backroads, testing endurance, strength, and teamwork. Are you tough enough to ruck it to the finish line? - 30lb ruck weight minimum if you weigh greater than 150lbs. - 20lb ruck weight minimum if you weigh less than 150lbs. - This weight includes the rucksack itself and any added weight. Weigh-ins will occur at the start and finish lines. For race integrity, official event personnel may also conduct weight checks at various points throughout the course.
Running
The Running Division lets teams of up to 10 runners tackle the 75-mile course, trading off along the scenic backroads from Katy, TX, to Surfside Beach. Each runner takes a leg of the journey, working together to reach the finish line. Whether you're racing for fun or competition, this division is perfect for teams looking for an unforgettable challenge!
