Community Connection 5k

The Community Connection 5k is more than just a race—it's an opportunity to unite for a worthy cause. Join us on August 9th, 2025, at Lions Club Park in Killeen for a fun, family-friendly event that celebrates health, unity, and giving back. This race proudly benefits the Boys & Girls Club of Central Texas, helping to empower and support local youth with vital programs and opportunities. What sets our race apart is our focus on fostering connections—whether you're a seasoned runner or out for a leisurely walk, you'll be part of a welcoming and supportive community. Together, we can make a difference!

The HWDS Foundation is a nonprofit organization devoted to fostering a supportive and inclusive community that enhances mental and physical well-being for people of all backgrounds. We believe fitness is more than running—it's about building resilience, strength, and empowerment.Proceeds from this event will support the HWDS Foundation’s initiatives and the Boys & Girls Club of Central Texas.
