Run With The Bucks

An after-school running program for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade Buckeye Intermediate students that will motivate kids to be fit and have fun!  The program is designed to help students set and achieve a fitness goal with their friends, Buckeye teachers, coaches, and junior high and high school track athletes.  The 7-week program starts on Tuesday, March 18th, and the last meeting date is Thursday, May 8th. The cost is $30, which includes registration for the Craig Bailey Memorial 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run on Saturday, May 10th, a t-shirt, and an end-of-season celebration. This program is sponsored by the Buckeye Education Foundation.  The program will involve games and fitness activities, including walking and running outside on the Buckeye Campus. Every child will be encouraged to run to their best ability. Students will need to bring a water bottle and wear weather-appropriate clothing and athletic shoes.  There will be no meetings during Spring Break. Students will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the cafeteria at 3:30 PM, and parents should arrange to sign out and pick up their students in the Intermediate school lobby at 4:30 PM.
