Currahee Challenge 5K/10K
About the Event
The Currahee Challenge takes place from the base of Currahee Mountain on the Colonel Robert Sink Trail, the training site of the 501st, 506th, 511th and 517th Parachute Infantry Regiments seen in Band of Brothers, Saving Private Ryan & The Dirty Dozen. Come and join us for an excellent and challenging 5K run/walk or 10K hill run. PLEASE NOTE: the finish line will remain open until 11:30am.
Join fellow runners on October 3, 2026 for the Currahee Challenge 5K/10K. It's a fantastic 5K, 10K featuring a flat and fast course in Toccoa.

5K Run/Walk
This is a challenging up hill / down hill course on an unpaved access road. Turn around for the 5K is approximately halfway to the top of the mountain. All walkers are encouraged to register for the 5K event.
10K Run
This is a challenging up hill / down hill course on an unpaved access road. The last half mile before the top is especially steep. Turn around for the 10K is at the historic marked which will be up at the turnaround point. PLEASE NOTE: the finish line will remain open until 11:30am. All walkers are encouraged to register for the 5K event.
