About the Event
49th ANNUAL SHIAWASSEE FAMILY YMCA CURWOOD FESTIVAL RUN
RACES: Half Marathon, 10K Run, 5K Run, 5K Walk, Fun Run
TIMES: 8:00 am - Half Marathon and 10K 8:30 am - 5K Run & 5k Walk 9:00 am Fun Run
COST: Pre-Registration until May 30th - $45. Late registration May 31st to June 5th - $50 (no guarantee on shirt). Price for the Fun Run is $15 and includes t-shirt (no guarantee on shirt if you register after May 30th). The cost for the event includes a shirt (when you register by May 30th)
Early Registration ends May 30th
Be sure to preregister for the event! Registration for the race ends at 11:59 pm on June 5th (late registration). There will be no race day registration available at the race.

PACKET PICK UP: Early packet pickup is on Friday, June 5th from 4pm to 6pm at the Shiawassee Family YMCA, 515 West Main Street, Owosso. Race day pickup begins at 7am at the race site. Please note the location of the packet pickup that you choose.

AWARDS: For 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each gender/age category. We will also have a Top Male Overall and Top Female Overall for each race.

The Shiawassee Family YMCA is looking for Curwood Race Sponsors and Volunteers. If you are interested in either opportunity (or both), please click the links to fill out our interest forms.
The race will be chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
Join fellow runners on June 6, 2026 for the Curwood Festival Run. It's a fantastic Half-Marathon, 10K, 5K, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Owosso.

Half Marathon
COURSE: The event will start and end just east of Huntington Bank on Jerome Ave, behind the large parking lot. The race follows the river trail to Corunna, through side streets and back along the trail to the beginning. The course is fast and mostly flat, consisting of 50% blacktop street and 50% hard-packed dirt.
10k Run
COURSE: The event will start and end just east of Huntington Bank on Jerome Ave, behind the large parking lot. The course follows the river trail into McCurdy Park then back along the trail to the beginning. The course is fast and flat, consisting of approximately 25% blacktop street and 75% hard-packed dirt.
5k Run
COURSE: The event will start and end just east of Huntington Bank on Jerome Ave, behind the large parking lot. The course will start on side streets to the river trail. It will go behind the car wash and airport before turning around to return. The course is fast and flat, consisting of approximately 50% blacktop street and 50% hard-packed dirt.
Fun Run
