Join Team DRC for this year's Fall Training Programs to get you race-ready for a 5K, 10K, half marathon or full marathon- or join us just for fun!  Select Event Info on the top right of this screen to learn more about each program.

The Dallas Running Club Fall Training Program is a volunteer-led experience created to help runners of all levels get started or improve their running! Our coaches and pace leaders will help you with:

Join fellow runners on August 15, 2026 for the Dallas Running Club Fall Training Program. It's a fantastic Half-Marathon, Marathon, 5K, 10K featuring a flat and fast course in Dallas.

Half Marathon Training Program

This program is designed to prepare DRC members for half marathons scheduled late in the Fall Season (December). Our goal race will be the BMW Dallas Half Marathon on December 13, 2026, although you may train for a different race. Training runs will leave from the parking lot of the White Rock Alehouse & Brewery on Saturday mornings at 6:15 am and Tuesday evenings at 7 pm. https://www.whiterockalehouse.com/ Runners of all paces and experience are welcome. Please be advised that to begin a 13.1 training program, we recommend consistently running 3 times per week, a total of 15 miles per week for at least 4 weeks prior to the start of the season. Registered runners will receive a welcome email from the Training team on 8/11/2026 with links to join our Facebook groups and event information.

Marathon Training Program

This program is designed to prepare DRC members for marathons scheduled in the Fall Season (December). Our goal race will be the BMW Dallas Marathon on December 13, 2026, though you may train for a different race. For runners choosing to participate, runs will be from the parking lot of the White Rock Alehouse & Brewery on Saturday mornings at 6:00 am and Tuesday evenings at 7 pm. https://www.whiterockalehouse.com/ Runners of all paces and experience are welcome. Please be advised that to begin a 26.2 training program, we recommend consistently running 3-4 times per week, a total of 20 miles per week for at least 4 weeks prior to the start of the season. Registered runners will receive a welcome email from the Training team on 8/11/2026 with links to join our Facebook groups and event information.

5K Training Program

This program is designed for DRC members looking to run their first 5K or to run a 5K after taking a break from running. For runners looking to improve their 5K time, we recommend that you sign up for the 10K program. Training runs will depart from the parking lot of the White Rock Alehouse & Brewery (https://www.whiterockalehouse.com/) on Saturday mornings at 7:00 am and Tuesday evenings at 7:15 pm, with rotating Hill Runs from Norbuck Park. The goal races are DRC Half 5K Race and Dallas BMW 5k on Saturday, December 12, 2026, although you may train for a different race. Note: Welcome emails with group training links will be sent out on Friday, 9/4/26
