The Wasatch Trails Collective (WTC) invites you to our third annual Día de los Muertos 5K Run & Walk on November 1st at the Tracy Aviary’s Nature Center at Pia Okwai. The 5K starts at 10 A.M. with post-race festivities happening until 2 P.M. This vibrant event celebrates culture and community while raising funds for the Salt Lake Community Bail Fund (SLCBF).
SLCBF posts bail for individuals in need in Salt Lake County. They work against the unjust money bail system that criminalizes poverty and disproportionately harms communities of color. Since December 2025, SLCBF has expanded their support to include posting immigration bonds for detained individuals and providing support for court and immigration hearings & appointments.
We believe that SLCBF's mission and work are crucial for supporting our immigrant community and are honored to partner with them this year! 100% of all race proceeds will go directly to SLCBF, as well as any additional donations made on this platform.
This family-friendly event is open to all whether you sign up as a participant, come cheer on your loved ones, or join for the post-race festivities. The route is accessible for all abilities, including those who use wheels (e.g., strollers, wheelchairs, walkers). Wasatch Trails Collective (WTC) te invita a nuestra carrera y caminata anual de 5K del Día de los Muertos, que sera el 1 de Noviembre en el Nature Center Pia Okwai de Tracy Aviary. El 5K comenzará a las 10:00 a. m., y después de la carrera tendremos actividades y celebración hasta las 2:00 P.M. Este evento celebra nuestra cultura y comunidad, al mismo tiempo que recauda fondos para Salt Lake Community Bail Fund (SLCBF).
SLCBF ayuda a pagar la fianza de personas que lo necesitan en el condado de Salt Lake. Su trabajo busca combatir un sistema injusto de fianzas monetarias que criminaliza la pobreza y afecta de manera desproporcionada a las comunidades de color. Desde diciembre de 2025, SLCBF ha ampliado su apoyo para incluir el pago de fianzas migratorias para personas detenidas, además de brindar apoyo durante audiencias, citas judiciales y trámites de inmigración.
