Join us for the fourth annual D&L RaceFest as four distinct events unite the Lehigh Valley through movement, history, and community.
Race Day Details
Downtown Allentown – 7:30 a.m.
- St. Luke’s D&L Marathon
- St. Luke’s D&L Marathon Relay
Historic Downtown Bethlehem – 7:30 a.m.
- D&L Heritage Half Marathon Run, Presented by St. Luke’s
- D&L Heritage Half Marathon Walk, Presented by St. Luke’s
All events finish in downtown Easton at the confluence of the Delaware and Lehigh Rivers, where participants and spectators gather for a post-race celebration.
The Experience
The marathon and half marathon follow the historic D&L Trail along the Lehigh River. Participants can expect a gentle net elevation drop and surfaces of fine gravel and paved trail sections.
Scenic river views, crisp autumn air, and joint-friendly terrain make this a fast and memorable point-to-point course.

Proceeds benefit Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor Inc., supporting heritage and environmental programming and continued development of the 165-mile D&L Trail from Wilkes-Barre to Bristol.

Running
D&L Heritage 1/2 Marathon Run presented by St. Luke's
The Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor's Annual Heritage Half Marathon Run from historic downtown Bethlehem to Easton, most of which is on the beautiful D+L Trail. Must be able to complete half marathon distance in 4.5 hours. Minimum age 14; under 18 requires parent or guardian permission. Field limit: 1,350 combined for all half-marathon categories.
D&L Heritage 1/2 Marathon Run/Walk presented by St. Luke's
Select this category if you will combine running and walking the half marathon event. Your result will be timed as a runner. If you will commit to ONLY walking, please select the walking category. Must be able to complete half marathon distance in 4.5 hours. Minimum age 14; under 18 requires parent or guardian permission.
St. Luke's D&L Marathon
The Lehigh Valley's marathon! Run a USATF-certified, Boston-qualifying course from downtown Allentown (including some miles in Little Lehigh Parkway) to Easton, much of which is on the beautiful D+L Trail. The D+L Trail follows the Lehigh River for a net downhill course with a maintained surface of fine gravel or macadam. Must be able to complete marathon distance in 6.5 hours. Minimum age 18. Field capped at 500 racers in 2026.
Walking
D&L Heritage 1/2 Marathon Walk presented by St. Luke's
The Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor's Annual Heritage Half Marathon Walk from historic downtown Bethlehem to Easton, most of which is on the beautiful D+L Trail. Select this option ONLY if you will commit to walking EVERY step of the race. No running! Please choose the run/walk category if you plan to combine walking and running -- even if you plan to run only the last stretch to the finish. (We will have race marshals on the course and will disqualify any walkers seen without at least one foot in contact with ground at all times.) You’ll complete the same half marathon course at your walking pace and receive the same swag and amenities as the runners. We have set a walking time limit of 4.5 hours to minimize congestion on the trail with the marathoners coming from Allentown. And we will have a 4.5-hour pacer. However, if you need a bit more time, the course will remain open for the marathoners. Minimum age 14; under 18 requires parent or guardian permission.
